About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver high-quality client services across a variety of engagements
  • Redesign and modernize core functions such as sales, underwriting, new business, policy administration, and claims
  • Document current- and future-state operating models and business processes
  • Communicate complex issues clearly and build relationships with client personnel
  • Monitor progress, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed on engagement progress and expected outcomes
  • Apply industry trends, domain knowledge, and technical acumen to solve client problems
  • Present key findings to client and EY leadership
  • Build team assets and points of view, including thought leadership, frameworks, benchmarks, and accelerators
  • Apply professional standards and firm policies
  • Contribute to proposals and business development, including client materials, pricing inputs, and follow-on scoping
  • Help financial services clients transform life/annuity, group benefits, and retirement services businesses

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Economics, or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 3 years of consulting and/or industry experience in financial services
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including executive presentation skills
  • Experience assessing and improving business processes, systems, and associated technologies
  • Understanding of financial services products and the operations processing lifecycle
  • Experience documenting operating models and business processes
  • Travel to client sites, as necessary
  • Understanding / experience with life, annuity, or group product lines
  • Familiarity with the insurance distribution and sales-enablement landscape
  • Familiarity with core technology platforms and modernization of legacy platforms
  • Working knowledge of data, analytics, and AI applications across the insurance value chain
  • Knowledge of insurance regulatory and underwriting/suitability requirements and their operational implications
  • Experience with M&A due diligence, post-merger integration, or reinsurance and capital-efficiency initiatives
