About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own end-to-end delivery of strategy and execution projects, including scoping, planning, and driving results
  • Supervise and mentor Consultants, Senior Associates, and directors
  • Guide problem-solving efforts and ensure high-quality outputs
  • Manage structured analysis to identify root causes, quantify opportunities, and develop data-backed recommendations
  • Address go-to-market, pricing, customer success, product, and operations issues
  • Build trust with senior stakeholders and communicate complex insights clearly
  • Identify additional client needs and business development opportunities
  • Translate strategy into implementation roadmaps and partner with clients to realize value
  • Support hands-on interim leadership or PMO roles
  • Develop proposals, client pitches, and relationships with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies
  • Contribute to practice direction through knowledge-base development, capability building, market presence, IP development, recruiting, and team-building initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related field and 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience
  • Experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or operating roles with significant exposure to growth, go-to-market, or operational improvement
  • Experience leading complex workstreams or full projects in a fast-paced client service environment
  • Demonstrated telecommunications sector experience across multiple subsectors
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and operational performance metrics
  • Deep familiarity with Excel-based modeling, operational diagnostics, and strategic frameworks
  • Proven success building relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
  • In-person teaming at a client site or EY office at least 60% of the time or approximately 3 days per week
  • Reside in or be within commutable distance of the office location
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary
  • MBA from a top-rated school preferred
  • Direct experience with private equity sponsors and/or PE-backed portfolio companies preferred
  • Familiarity with go-to-market strategy and operational improvement preferred
  • Knowledge of firm-approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, preferred
