About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and execute operationally focused projects across the transaction lifecycle
  • Lead operational due diligence focused on EBITDA upside and operational risk
  • Lead buy-side carve-out and integration planning
  • Plan post-acquisition 100-day initiatives and value creation programs
  • Support ongoing performance improvement
  • Lead exit readiness planning to maximize returns and enhance value
  • Lead and manage project teams across EY-Parthenon sub-service lines
  • Drive pursuits, presentations, and client meetings
  • Contribute to practice development initiatives
  • Coach, train, and mentor junior team members
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with senior clients and support key decision-makers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field and 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience
  • Strategy and operations management consulting experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving/modeling skills, and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights
  • Experience in operational due diligence, operational transformation, and performance improvement
  • Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Experience working on value creation engagements in Industrials, Business Services, Energy, Consumer Products, and/or Retail
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and operational performance metrics
  • Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams in complex business environments
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and ability to develop long-lasting relationships internally and externally
  • In-person teaming at a client site or EY office a minimum of 60% of the time or an average of 3 days a week
  • Must reside in or be within commutable distance to the office location
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
  • Proven record of excellence in M&A transactions
  • Experience driving operational improvement programs in a corporate setting
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization
  • Knowledge of leveraging firm-approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot
