About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, test, enhance, and maintain applications using Java and Spring/Spring Boot
- Create scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices
- Translate technical and business requirements into software solutions
- Develop clean, secure, maintainable, and testable code
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions
- Develop unit tests and integration tests
- Investigate defects, production incidents, performance issues, and integration problems
- Participate in code reviews
- Support CI/CD, deployment, release, and production support activities
- Contribute to application modernization, cloud adoption, and technical debt reduction initiatives
- Maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with Architecture, QA, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and business and product stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and modernization of enterprise applications in an international project
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience in backend development with Java
- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot
- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with Git, Maven, and/or Gradle
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing
- Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and production support
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum
- Experience with enterprise applications and mission-critical systems
- Advanced English proficiency for communication in a global environment
- Preferred: experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
- Preferred: knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Preferred: experience with Kafka
- Preferred: knowledge of DevSecOps and observability
- Preferred: experience with application modernization initiatives
- Preferred: experience in Financial Services, Banking, Wealth/Asset Management, Capital Markets, Insurance, or other regulated environments
- Preferred: certifications related to Java, cloud, or Agile
