About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop business requirements aligned with technology architecture, infrastructure design, and technology selection decisions
  • Assist clients with designing and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Implement Insurance Business Intelligence IT solutions, including upgrades, mobility, integration, infrastructure, and requirements definition
  • Develop assessment frameworks for sourcing IT vendors
  • Deliver systems integration and performance management IT solutions for planning, forecasting, analytics, and management reporting
  • Monitor progress to consistently deliver quality client services
  • Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge
  • Maintain long-term client relationships and networks
  • Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds
  • Monitor and plan team delivery, training, performance improvements, and recruitment
  • Work closely with Advisory professionals to deliver project-based work and managed services to US-based financial services clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Industrial Administration, Business, or a related field and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience defining business and technical requirements; alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field and 7 years of work experience
  • 5 years of experience working at or advising a property and casualty insurance carrier
  • 5 years of experience managing and supervising a team of technology advisors through requirements definition, architecture design, conversion, and testing
  • 6 years of experience researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, insurance industry practices, and new technologies
  • 6 years of experience in at least 3 competencies: system selection and implementation; business or technical requirements definition; business or technology architecture design; application configuration or integration; data mapping, conversion, or migration; program/project management and implementation planning (PMO); IT process reengineering
  • Application/package experience with Guidewire, OneShield, Exigen, MajescoMastek, Duck Creek, Insurity, or CSC
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
  • Ability to manage teams of technical analysts through all phases of the project lifecycle based on a proven methodology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentations
  • Proven ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues related to regulations, industry practice, and new application technologies
  • Passion for helping businesses achieve the full potential of their data
