About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assess existing infrastructure landscapes and recommend future-ready, scalable architecture solutions
- Design infrastructure for Core Banking System migration and modernization, ensuring performance, scalability, and resilience
- Align infrastructure architecture with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements
- Perform benchmarking, sizing, and capacity planning for high-volume Core Banking environments
- Optimize throughput, response time, and transaction performance
- Ensure infrastructure readiness for peak loads and business growth
- Design and implement fault-tolerant architectures and high-availability systems
- Define and manage cross-site replication strategies
- Ensure business continuity through disaster recovery frameworks
- Support CBS migration through environment setup, validation, and readiness checks
- Collaborate with technical and application teams on migration and cutover activities
- Ensure minimal downtime and operational stability during migration
- Ensure adherence to security standards, regulatory guidelines, and audit requirements
- Implement infrastructure-level security controls and compliance frameworks
- Support infrastructure risk assessments and mitigation planning
- Work with PMO, technical leaders, OEMs, and external vendors
- Provide expertise on infrastructure governance, standards, and best practices
- Conduct feasibility analysis and provide optimization insights for decision-making
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and design
- Proven experience leading at least one large-scale Core Technical, Application, Database, or Infrastructure transformation or revamp program
- Experience working in high-volume, mission-critical environments
- Mandatory: BE / B.Tech / M.Tech (CSE / IT) or MCA
- Exposure to the BFSI sector preferred
- Experience with Core Banking Systems such as TCS BaNCS or other OEM platforms preferred
- Prior involvement in CBS migration, modernization, or transformation initiatives preferred
- Strong domain knowledge across servers, virtualization (VMs), databases, operating systems, hardware, and storage technologies
- Knowledge of infrastructure architecture and design
- Knowledge of hardware and platform evaluation
- Knowledge of capacity planning and benchmarking
- Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery
- Knowledge of cross-site replication strategies
- Knowledge of data center disaster recovery shifting and expansion strategies
- Deep understanding of the banking infrastructure ecosystem
- Immediate joiner, preferably within 30 days
