About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead global payroll implementation projects across multiple regions and countries
  • Execute global payroll implementations in multi-country environments
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll implementation lifecycle, including planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, parallel runs, cutover, go-live, and stabilization
  • Prepare detailed project plans and coordinate with clients and internal teams on project scope, parameters, and timelines
  • Manage project governance, status reporting, and critical paths
  • Prepare business requirements documents, infrastructure impact statements, feasibility studies, project charters, resource-assignment RACIs, risk-management plans, communications plans, and change-management plans
  • Establish standard end-to-end project approaches and procedures for internal and external systems, tools, and processes
  • Perform risk management, escalate issues, and maintain project communications, meeting minutes, status reports, and issue/risk logs
  • Serve as the primary project contact for client country leads and global stakeholders
  • Manage client expectations, scope, and change control; build client and stakeholder relationships
  • Provide executive-level updates and drive steering-committee meetings
  • Conduct meetings with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients to support smooth, high-quality implementations
  • Manage multiple simple-to-complex projects with cross-functional teams
  • Mentor junior resources and conduct internal training
  • Inspire and motivate stakeholders to achieve project goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate or Post Graduate in Accounting, Finance, HR, Administration, or Operations
  • 8–10 years of experience in global payroll implementation and project management
  • Experience managing cross-functional, multi-country projects
  • End-to-end payroll implementation knowledge
  • Thorough understanding of payroll activities
  • Multi-country payroll experience
  • Knowledge of payroll interfaces, implementation methodologies, data flows, technical aspects, and accounting
  • Exposure to HR/payroll system integrations, including Workday, SAP, Oracle, T&A, and various HRMS modules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Proven capability to define, document, and roll out procedures and processes across multiple departments or groups
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers globally and virtually
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility and willingness to adjust responsibilities to developing business needs
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an added advantage, not required
  • Knowledge of AI tools, automation, or data-driven payroll enhancements
