About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the fund accounting and reporting cycle from NAV to financial statements
- Prepare deliverables and review the work of junior team members
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders and drive accuracy and process improvement
- Understand Funds and Fund-of-Funds investment operations and financial statement reporting
- Define procedures and controls to enhance operational risk processes
- Deliver high-quality work products within expected timeframes and budgets
- Execute detailed procedures based on fund controllership, investment books and records, and financial reporting processes
- Perform capital calls, valuations, and transaction processing
- Identify and evaluate technology opportunities for platform enablement
- Facilitate discussions between business and technology teams regarding product features
- Identify process improvement areas and promote automation
- Translate business requirements into scalable solution options and contribute to product roadmaps and strategy
- Translate business goals into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Prioritize backlog items, manage change requests, and define release scopes
- Participate in AI-enabled process improvement initiatives
- Make decisions, optimize processes, manage resources, and oversee team execution as needed
- Allocate personnel, supervise team members, assign tasks, provide tools and support, and evaluate performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4–8 years of experience in the asset management sector
- Exposure to a US-based asset management or fund administration firm is an advantage
- Hands-on advisory experience in Fund Accounting, Investment Accounting, Financial Reporting, Regulatory and Statutory Reporting
- Consulting experience in Wealth and Asset Management or a finance transformation role is ideal
- Advanced proficiency in fund accounting and financial reporting
- Knowledge of investment accounting and financial statement close processes
- Knowledge of regulatory and statutory reporting, management and financial reporting, and consolidation reporting
- Advanced data readiness and analytics skills
- Knowledge of governance, controls, and regulation
- Experience with Investran, Eagle, Yardi, or Geneva
- Knowledge of Private Equity, Private Credit, and Real Estate Funds and investment accounting
- Experience with NAV finalization, reconciliations, management reporting, and investor reporting
- Experience reconciling investor capital balances and allocating profit and loss
- MBA, CA, ACCA, or CPA certification required
- Strong technical grounding in US GAAP
- Immediate joining is an advantage
- Ability to apply AI and automation to NAV production, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Sharp analytical judgment and ability to challenge and validate AI-enabled outputs
