About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure software quality through comprehensive test planning, test design, execution, defect management, and reporting
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams
- Ensure solutions meet business and customer expectations
- Analyze business and functional requirements
- Design effective test scenarios and test cases
- Execute functional, system integration, regression, and manual testing
- Support user acceptance testing
- Conduct end-to-end business process validation across integrated systems
- Validate data integrity and application functionality
- Review and validate test cases, test evidence, and defect quality
- Support test planning, estimation, and status reporting for small to medium-sized projects and releases
- Manage defect identification, logging, tracking, retesting, and closure
- Handle change requests, impact assessments, and regression testing
- Design, implement, enhance, maintain, and execute automation frameworks and test assets
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Generate test summary reports
- Coordinate test and development teams to resolve issues
- Interact with client-side stakeholders to solve issues and provide status updates
- Lead teams across geographies
- Mentor junior QA team members and promote QA best practices
- Identify test automation opportunities and recommend appropriate automation approaches
- Establish or enhance QA processes, testing methodologies, and quality assurance practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate/Post Graduate with technical background
- 5–10 years of automation consulting experience across multiple platforms and varied domains
- At least 5 years of experience in test automation
- Mandatory experience in the Insurance domain
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, QA methodologies, testing processes, and industry best practices
- Ability to analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases
- Hands-on experience in Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support
- Experience executing manual test cases and validating application functionality against defined requirements
- Experience managing the complete defect lifecycle
- Experience handling change requests, impact assessments, and regression testing
- Working knowledge of test automation concepts and frameworks
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Experience designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks
- Experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of service virtualization and mock services
- Experience creating, enhancing, maintaining, and executing test assets
- Ability to coordinate test and development teams to resolve issues
- Ability to interact with client-side stakeholders to solve issues and update status
- Ability to lead teams across geographies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate concisely and clearly
- Willingness to work as both an individual contributor and Team Leader
