About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement and support SAP IS-U projects for utility clients
- Contribute to innovative products that solve client problems
- Provide functional knowledge for electricity, gas and water utilities
- Configure the SAP IS-U system
- Drive business workshops and blueprint sessions
- Develop BBPs/BBDs, functional specifications and test scenarios
- Conduct training, perform testing and provide defect-management support for Device Management
- Design core and customized IS-U business processes and provide best practices
- Communicate complex requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Travel as required
- Monitor project progress and quality
- Develop templates and methods to improve application-support efficiency
- Gather and prioritize SAP business requirements and design appropriate solutions
- Define test scenarios, create master data and conduct unit, cycle and integration testing
- Work with SAP modules and integration areas including Device Management, CS/CRM, Billing and FICA/FICO GL
- Work in offshore/onshore delivery models across multiple locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- College degree in a related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.) or comparable job experiences
- Approximately 5 to 8 years of experience in a functional role
- Progression of increasingly complex job responsibilities
- Prior SAP BRIM CI role is a must
- Minimum 1 implementation from scratch as a lead consultant
- Functional knowledge and hands-on experience in electricity, gas and water utilities
- Hands-on experience configuring SAP IS-U
- Understanding of regulated and deregulated utility business processes
- SAP FI-CA knowledge for business blueprints, business process plans, functional documents and test cases
- Knowledge of Meter to Cash
- Experience with FICA dunning procedures, collection strategy, payment-channel integration, write-offs, returns, security deposits, installment plans and promise to pay
- Experience with country-specific localization
- Experience configuring FICA Events and BRF+ (functional)
- Strong knowledge of clearing strategy and clearing rules
- Experience with Cash Desk and clarifications
- Strong knowledge of month-end and period-end closing and FICA-to-FICO GL integration
- Experience in regulated and deregulated energy markets
- Experience designing and troubleshooting integrations across Device Management, CS/CRM and Billing
- Experience creating master data and performing unit, cycle and integration tests
- Experience making enhancements in specific FICA events
- Multiple SAP project experience
- Confidence working within an offshore/onshore delivery model
- Proven experience managing large streams of work across multiple locations
- Strong hands-on experience with FI-CA concepts, including company code, chart of accounts, main/sub transactions, security deposits, payments, returns, collections, agencies, transfer postings and escheatment
- BRF Plus implementation experience
- Middleware integration experience with third-party payment and collection systems
- Data migration experience
- Ability to work under minimum supervision with good time management and work planning
- Experience integrating third-party applications is advantageous
- Knowledge of SAP RAR, BRIM CI/SOM/CM integration is advantageous
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience is advantageous
- Experience with JIRA or equivalent tools is advantageous
- SAP Utilities certifications are a plus
