About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage engagements spanning 100+ countries with local EY teams of 300+ people
  • Assist in validating and governing global finance operations using one global methodology
  • Provide subsidiary governance throughout the legal-entity life cycle to mitigate risk and increase corporate transparency
  • Manage timely, high-quality services and work products exceeding client expectations
  • Maintain daily contact with local EY ACR teams to ensure contracted services are delivered accurately and on time
  • Serve as point of contact for client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client businesses
  • Respond to client and internal stakeholder queries
  • Develop and guide senior, staff, and junior professionals through performance feedback
  • Deploy engagement teams using US ACR and Global Delivery Service resources
  • Keep current on global trends, developments, and regulations
  • Perform complex data maintenance, data analytics, trend analysis, and data collection for financial statement close timelines
  • Ensure statutory reporting and bookkeeping documentation remains current and is consistently used
  • Own engagements, make decisions, resolve issues, and escalate client or internal partner issues
  • Apply EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery and identify process improvements
  • Assist with scoping new opportunities and proposal development
  • Participate in oral presentations
  • Help grow EY's Accounting Compliance & Reporting practice

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or another related business major
  • 5–7 years' work experience in audit/accounting
  • Approved technical certification, CPA license, or membership to state Bar is required
  • Knowledge of global statutory reporting and/or bookkeeping, preferably across multiple countries
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
  • US GAAP knowledge including GAAP reconciliation experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Business English
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and IT concepts
  • Ability to analyze historical legal entity financial information and determine GAAP-to-GAAP and other adjustments
  • Ability to apply technical accounting knowledge to analyze account balances and reconciliations during account close
  • Ability to identify root causes, develop solutions, and remove impediments to remediation
  • Ability to undertake continuous improvement projects
  • Ability to influence change within EY and with clients
  • Ability to travel 20–30% to client locations
  • Client-facing exposure in a global role preferred
  • Basic understanding of SAP, Oracle, or Business Central preferred
  • Basic understanding of global indirect tax and corporate tax compliance preferred
  • IFRS knowledge preferred
