About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to and lead collaborative teams across dynamic client engagements
- Collect and analyze data to recommend organizational, process and technology improvements
- Deliver high-quality program management and documentation support to government clients
- Build trusted relationships across client, stakeholder and EY teams
- Communicate the value of and support implementation of EY US portfolio, program and project management methodologies
- Coach and develop professionals while supporting talent and competency initiatives
- Draft, edit and format policies, directives, Standard Operating Procedures and implementation guidance
- Develop briefing decks, talking points and executive correspondence for leadership review
- Prepare issue papers, decision memoranda and white papers
- Manage complex cross-branch reviews, reconcile feedback and incorporate comments
- Maintain templates, rigorous version control and consistent formatting standards
- Create process documentation and operational workflow diagrams
- Support audit responses, official data calls and After Action Reports
- Ensure deliverables comply with Department of Homeland Security writing and formatting standards
- Support communications and strategic messaging for Trusted Workforce 2.0 and other division initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, engineering or a related business field
- At least two years of consulting or relevant industry experience
- At least one year of experience leading engagement teams
- Knowledge and experience in process improvement
- Knowledge and experience in stakeholder and customer engagement support
- Knowledge and experience in performance management, measurement and metrics development
- Experience proactively identifying team and client needs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience managing shifting priorities and evolving client needs
- Experience coaching or developing junior team members
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with one or more PM software packages, such as Microsoft Project or Oracle Primavera
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher
- Willingness and ability to travel based on client and project needs—approximately 30% for federal roles and 80% for state, local and education roles
- Prior experience serving government clients within a Big Four firm, global consulting organization or government-focused organization is preferred
