About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own technical solutions end-to-end, translating customer and business needs into scalable, production-ready software
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software throughout its lifecycle
- Ensure solution quality, maintainability, security, scalability, and operational excellence
- Make architectural and implementation decisions with minimal oversight
- Drive technical execution, identify risks, remove blockers, and improve engineering effectiveness
- Design and build scalable backend services, APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and modern full-stack applications
- Optimize application performance, scalability, observability, and reliability
- Contribute to architecture, technical design, platform evolution, developer tooling, and reusable engineering patterns
- Design and build AI-powered product capabilities, AI agents, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation solutions
- Integrate LLMs, AI services, and external APIs into production applications
- Build prompt orchestration, tool-calling, multi-agent workflows, RAG, semantic search, and knowledge retrieval solutions
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and rapidly prototype capabilities
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to improve productivity
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to translate customer needs into scalable, accessible, reliable software
- Participate in technical discovery, solution design, estimation, and delivery planning
- Champion code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, secure development, documentation, and continuous improvement
- Participate in code reviews, architectural reviews, production support, incident response, root cause analysis, and operational improvements
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and foster ownership and innovation
- Within the first year, independently deliver complex solutions, build AI-powered capabilities, improve platform architecture and engineering standards, and accelerate execution through AI-assisted development and automation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Extensive backend software engineering experience building scalable production systems
- Strong full-stack development experience
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed systems
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, AWS preferred
- Experience with modern databases, caching technologies, and messaging systems
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices
- Experience working in Agile software development environments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Hands-on experience building AI-enabled applications, AI agents, agentic workflows, LLM integrations, prompt engineering, tool calling, AI orchestration, AI evaluation and testing, rapid prototyping, and AI-assisted software development
- Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Model Context Protocol (MCP), LangChain, vector databases, or similar frameworks is considered a strong asset
- Demonstrated technical skills with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#; React or modern frontend frameworks; Node.js and backend application frameworks; REST APIs and GraphQL; AWS cloud services; Docker and Kubernetes; MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis; GitHub Actions or CI/CD platforms; Infrastructure as Code; observability and monitoring platforms; event-driven architectures; and serverless computing
- Ability to take ownership and accountability for outcomes, deliver with urgency, make independent technical decisions, adapt to changing priorities, solve complex problems pragmatically, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, mentor others, and continuously learn emerging technologies
