About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop cost estimates for routine small construction projects under direct supervision based on client documents
- Examine proposals, blueprints, and specifications to determine the type and duration of work required
- Prepare material orders and other documentation
- Visit job sites to assess progress, maintain logs, troubleshoot problems, and evaluate work
- Create project plans from estimates and define tasks, schedules, and required personnel
- Confer and negotiate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, using local expertise to estimate costs
- Perform other duties assigned by the manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School minimum; degree in related field preferred
- Two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
- Must be able to pass background screen
- Experience working in ACCUBID preferred
- Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient in take-off estimator planning
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask while staying organized
- Self-motivated
- Positive customer service skills
