About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape the strategic direction of service design across the business
- Align cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and impactful solutions
- Pioneer unified service ecosystems and embed systems thinking
- Drive ambitious transformation initiatives
- Direct large-scale research efforts and mentor teams on best practices
- Develop service-wide journey maps and evolve personas for diverse user scenarios

Requirements
What you’ll need- Comprehensive expertise in advanced user research methodologies
- Proven track record of managing and mentoring research teams
- Mastery of detailed, high-level service blueprints and journey maps
- Exceptional facilitation skills for inclusive workshops with senior stakeholders
- Experience directing prototyping efforts for complex service components
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create high-quality design artefacts and strategic narratives
- Strong collaborative experience with government entities and public sector organisations
- Willingness and ability to work in the UK, as the application asks whether visa sponsorship is required to work in the UK
