About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute the product strategy and vision for FairMoney's iOS lending experience
  • Own the end-to-end iOS lending journey, including loan discovery, eligibility, application, credit assessment, disbursement, repayment, and repeat borrowing
  • Identify and prioritise opportunities to improve conversion, activation, customer experience, and retention
  • Shape the scalability and evolution of the lending platform
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Growth, Data Science, Risk, Credit, Operations, QA, and CRM teams
  • Own and prioritise the iOS lending roadmap
  • Identify and remove friction across the loan journey
  • Conduct market research and customer analysis
  • Analyse product funnels and customer behaviour
  • Define and track product KPIs, including application conversion, approval rates, disbursement rates, repayment behaviour, repeat borrowing, and retention
  • Use data-driven insights, experimentation, and A/B testing to inform product decisions
  • Own product development from discovery and requirements definition through development, launch, and optimisation
  • Translate customer and business problems into product requirements and actionable solutions
  • Lead product launches and monitor post-release performance
  • Ensure lending products meet quality, risk, and compliance requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, with strong experience in lending, fintech, or financial services
  • Strong understanding of consumer lending and digital lending products, including loan applications, credit assessment, disbursement, repayment, and repeat borrowing
  • Experience building and improving mobile products, preferably iOS or customer-facing financial applications
  • Demonstrated experience developing and launching successful fintech or lending products
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Experience using product analytics, funnels, KPIs, and experimentation to drive product decisions
  • Familiarity with the Nigerian and African fintech markets and an understanding of local customer preferences and behaviours is a bonus but not essential
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing and motivating high-performing product teams
  • Creative problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on data and KPIs
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to getting hands dirty at all times
  • Experience working on platform products is a plus
  • Experience working closely with mobile engineering teams is a plus
  • Experience with iOS product development, Swift, or Apple ecosystem products is a plus, but deep technical coding experience is not required
