About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend systems for Identity, KYC, authentication, and related services
- Contribute to technical projects from development through deployment and maintenance
- Build and support reliable distributed systems and backend services
- Work closely with Product, Risk, Compliance, and other engineering teams to deliver effective identity and KYC solutions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues
- Use AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and delivery
- Work with backend technologies and infrastructure including Go, Ruby on Rails, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, databases, messaging services, and GitHub Actions CI/CD
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of professional experience in backend software development
- Experience building backend services and working with distributed systems
- Experience working with Go, or strong experience in another backend language with a willingness to transition to Go
- Good understanding of software engineering principles, system design, testing, CI/CD, and production operations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working effectively within cross-functional engineering teams
- Experience in Identity, KYC, authentication, fraud prevention, onboarding, or related domains
- Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or other financial services environments
- Experience with Go and Go-based backend systems
- Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems
- Experience working with AWS or other major cloud platforms
- Experience using AI coding assistants, LLM-based developer tools, or AI-assisted development workflows
