About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and implement modern, scalable web applications using Java for backend development and Angular, Vue.js, or React for frontend development
Design and implement microservices and APIs
Build new software solutions and enhance existing applications
Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions
Conduct code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality
Integrate databases and ensure data integrity
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Work with Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Ensure application performance, security, and scalability
Create and maintain clear technical documentation
Help establish Fairsource's software engineering community in Romania

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
At least 6 years of professional experience as a Java Fullstack Developer
Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, Enterprise Java, or Quarkus
Experience with microservices and software architecture
Proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework: Angular, Vue.js, or React
Solid understanding of CI/CD, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Clean Code principles
Initial hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional teams
