About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the testing of missile and launch systems, from component level through to the complete system
- Develops test plans and test procedures at component, subsystem, and system level
- Designs, builds, and commissions test benches and measurement systems
- Plans, conducts, and evaluates development, qualification, and acceptance tests
- Coordinates tests with external test facilities and flight-test ranges
- Ensures complete, traceable test documentation and end-to-end traceability
- Supports flight-test campaigns
- Conducts structured fault and root-cause analyses
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field
- Strong hands-on mentality and a structured, safety-conscious approach to work
- Willingness to travel extensively, including several-week assignments at test ranges
- Experience with missile, aerospace, or aviation systems is an advantage
- Knowledge of flight-test ranges and their requirements is an advantage
- Experience working with pyrotechnic systems and rocket motors, as well as authorization to handle explosives, is an advantage
- Knowledge of measurement technology, data acquisition, and data analysis is an advantage
- Knowledge of military test and qualification standards (e.g., MIL-STD, AECTP, STANAG) is an advantage
- Very good German language skills (at least C1 level) and good English language skills
- Citizenship of an EU or NATO member state (excluding the United States) and willingness to undergo a security clearance in accordance with the German Security Clearance Act (SÜG)
