About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide comprehensive clinical oversight and support to a team of registered associate clinicians
- Foster associates' professional growth and development
- Guide associates in applying clinical theory to practice
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards and applicable legal, regulatory, and agency-specific guidelines
- Ensure supervisees consistently adhere to BBS legal and ethical standards
- Support development of clinical competencies, including intervention strategies and diagnostic assessment
- Complete BBS-required supervision documentation and maintain accurate, current supervision logs
- Ensure supervision logs are signed weekly
- Address performance or ethical concerns proactively
- Attend scheduled supervision sessions and remain available for clinical support
- Prepare clinical cases for meaningful supervision discussions
- Document and reschedule missed supervision sessions within the same week when possible
- Integrate supervisor feedback into clinical practice
- Communicate supervision schedule changes promptly and professionally
- Support and guide crisis management, including risk assessment and safety planning
- Ensure staff have the skills and resources to respond effectively to crises
- Complete a brief weekly summary log of key supervision topics, themes, and focus areas
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field required
- Current, active, and unrestricted California Board of Behavioral Sciences licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC
- Must be licensed for a minimum of 2 years
- Direct experience and knowledge of Behavioral Health and Social Services Core Practices in outpatient clinics, facilities, and/or community-based organizations
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance standards, and best practices
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of database and reporting tools
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
- On-call participation required
- Frequent driving is an essential job function
- Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Minimum of two years of licensed driving experience
- Eligibility for coverage under the organization's motor vehicle insurance policy
