About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather, document, and maintain financial information from finance and accounting sources
  • Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation according to accounting policies and procedures
  • Analyze business and financial information to determine appropriate accounting treatment and record results
  • Analyze financial results for accuracy and business decision support
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reporting and account certifications
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Develop reports documenting assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and other financial results
  • Execute accounting and financial operations processes and related controls
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, data quality, and process effectiveness
  • Work alongside operational accounting team members and management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • CPA or CPA Eligible
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Public accounting, consulting and/or financial services experience
  • Previous operational accounting experience in a large company setting
  • Strong understanding of the monthly accounting close process
  • Ability to resolve issues and exceptions in a timely and professional manner
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with employees at all levels, including management
  • Curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence
  • Bachelor's Level Degree required
  • Proximity within a reasonable commute to the designated office location is preferred unless the job is noted as open to remote
