About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain a long-term corporate real estate portfolio roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy and workforce evolution
- Lead location strategy, market analysis, site selection, and geographic optimization
- Establish portfolio optimization strategies balancing cost, flexibility, employee experience, and business continuity
- Define and execute asset-level strategies across owned and leased properties, including retaining, exiting, repositioning, selling, and purchasing
- Lead development processes for long-term assets, including site planning, approvals, ownership strategies, local government development approvals, and execution
- Partner with Finance and HR on portfolio performance, capital planning, and cost optimization
- Monitor market trends and benchmark portfolio performance
- Build and maintain capacity models reflecting workforce trends, hybrid work strategies, and business growth scenarios
- Lead scenario planning for headcount shifts, M&A, policy changes, and other strategic business decisions
- Provide data-driven insights to senior leadership
- Oversee enterprise space planning standards and scalable, flexible space solutions
- Partner with Workplace Experience teams to support productivity, culture, and engagement
- Align portfolio strategy with design and construction execution
- Provide strategic oversight for major capital projects and drive standardization and efficiency
- Oversee lease administration and critical lease date management
- Partner with Legal and external partners on lease negotiations and portfolio transactions
- Lead and develop a high-performing strategy, planning, and portfolio analytics team
- Collaborate with business units, HR, Finance, Legal, and Workplace Experience leaders
- Build multidimensional business cases for location and asset recommendations
- Advise executive leadership on real estate strategy and portfolio decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8 years of experience in corporate real estate, real estate portfolio strategy, or related field
- Proven experience leading enterprise-level portfolio strategy and planning functions
- Experience repositioning real estate assets, including sale and purchase
- Deep knowledge of development, zoning, permitting, infrastructure, and legal requirements
- Deep expertise in location strategy, capacity modeling, and portfolio optimization
- Strong financial acumen, including capital planning and lease analysis
- People leadership experience, including direct management or supervision of a team
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence
- Strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans
- Data-driven decision-making and strong analytical rigor
- Ability to engage senior executives as an influential communicator
- Ability to collaborate in matrixed organizations and drive workplace transformation
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (desired)
- 12 years of experience in corporate real estate, real estate portfolio strategy, or related field (desired)
- Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments (desired)
- Familiarity with hybrid workplace strategies and evolving workforce models (desired)
- Advanced analytical and modeling capabilities, such as scenario planning tools and portfolio analytics platforms (desired)
- Experience with AI applications for portfolio modeling (desired)
