About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and deliver well-scoped features end-to-end across the TypeScript/Node.js/Go stack with mentor support
- Contribute to real, shipped product work
- Build AI-powered features for creators, including automated chat, content generation, personalization, and moderation
- Use AI coding tools to accelerate development
- Experiment with LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases in product development
- Ship quickly, iterate based on feedback, and learn from production
- Collaborate with product, design, and senior engineers
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decisions
- Participate in code reviews and learn engineering best practices
- Present completed work at the end of the placement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently studying towards, or recently completed, a Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent via personal projects, open source, bootcamps, etc.
- Solid fundamentals in software engineering, including data structures, algorithms, and basic system design
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, or a strong general programming foundation
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude, or eager to become fluent
- Curiosity about LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI product development
- High agency and ability to identify and solve problems independently
- Fast learning ability and willingness to apply knowledge immediately
- Humble and coachable, with willingness to seek and act on feedback
- No professional experience required
- Experience with Node.js, React, or Next.js is a plus
- Must be able to work in a hybrid arrangement in London
