About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop new business through agency-provided leads, referrals, outbound calls, and networking
- Build rapport with prospective customers and identify their insurance needs
- Present and sell Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other insurance products
- Prepare quotes, address objections, and close sales
- Maintain consistent prospect follow-up and manage an active sales pipeline
- Identify cross-selling opportunities within existing customer relationships
- Track sales activity and work toward individual production targets
- Build a referral network and contribute to continued agency growth
- Participate in sales coaching, product training, and ongoing development
- Progress toward leadership, greater responsibility, or potential agency ownership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous sales experience with a demonstrated ability to meet goals
- Confidence initiating conversations and making outbound calls
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and closing skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment
- Resilience when handling rejection and overcoming objections
- Organized with consistent follow-through and pipeline management
- Willingness to accept coaching and continuously improve
- Insurance experience and licensing preferred, or willingness to obtain required licenses
- Interest in long-term career growth and increased responsibility
- Ability to commute to the office location regularly
- Active California Property & Casualty Insurance license and active California Life Insurance License are assessed in the application
