About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with business stakeholders to identify high-value workflows and prioritize agentic solutions
- Design and build production AI agents operating on Farther’s data model and vendor integrations
- Make architectural decisions favoring scalable solutions and strong software engineering practices
- Build and maintain integrations with internal services and external vendor platforms
- Establish monitoring, alerting, logging, and evaluation for observable, reliable, and safe agent behavior
- Lead complex rollouts to business-facing users
- Train and support users adopting agentic tools
- Track adoption and business impact and inform the product roadmap
- Set guardrails and access controls for a regulated financial environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience using Python, SQL, HTTP, and AWS
- Track record of designing systems that scale
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code
- Professional experience building AI agents; Claude Managed Agents or Anthropic Claude Agent SDK preferred
- Deep understanding of cloud and serverless architectures; AWS Bedrock AgentCore preferred, with alternatives including GCP, Vertex AI Agent Builder, Azure AI Foundry, LangGraph Cloud, and Crew AI
- Experience supporting Operations functions and teams
- Strong ownership mindset focused on adoption and outcomes
- Strong business judgment and ability to explain tradeoffs
- Experience working one-on-one with demanding users and turning feedback into product decisions
- History of carrying complex, business-facing applications through rollout
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, S3, Step Functions, EventBridge, API Gateway, and CloudWatch
- Experience with infrastructure as code, especially AWS CDK
- Experience with AI coding tools, MCPs, LLM APIs, and agent frameworks
- Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and observability tooling
