About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and enhance backend services that support the product
  • Build scalable, secure, and highly available APIs for consumption by mobile applications
  • Implement business rules related to product functionality
  • Implement services that provide the configurations and structures required for the Server-Driven UI strategy
  • Define and evolve contracts between the backend and mobile applications
  • Develop services based on modular and decoupled architecture principles
  • Implement integrations with existing services and platforms within the client’s ecosystem
  • Develop authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms
  • Implement concurrency handling, idempotency, and operational consistency
  • Ensure traceability of user-performed operations
  • Implement appropriate handling of errors, exceptions, and service unavailability
  • Create unit and integration tests and support automated testing
  • Participate in code reviews and define development standards
  • Support observability strategies using structured logs, metrics, and distributed tracing
  • Work collaboratively with Architecture, Mobile, QA, the Product Owner, and the Squad Leader
  • Support performance analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous service improvement

Requirements

  • Knowledge or experience with Server-Driven UI architectures will be considered important, including contracts for dynamic UI representation, APIs focused on composing mobile journeys, schema versioning, compatibility between application versions, feature flags, remote configuration, fallback strategies, evolving journeys without direct dependence on new releases, and separation between business rules, experience configuration, and presentation
