About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the firewall request workflow using the AlgoSec platform
Analyze, validate, and track requests to create, modify, and remove firewall rules
Support the review and governance of security policies
Perform basic troubleshooting and provide operational support for security solutions
Monitor approval, compliance, and change documentation workflows
Collaborate with network, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams
Assist with monitoring and handling incidents related to connectivity and security
Keep technical documentation, procedures, and records up to date
Support audits and compliance processes related to security rules
Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and automation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Technical qualification or ongoing/completed higher education in Networking, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
Basic to intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP networking
Basic to intermediate knowledge of firewalls and security policies
Basic to intermediate knowledge of information security concepts
Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSH, and VPN
Experience with or knowledge of firewall operations and access control
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in teams and provide customer support
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of or experience with AlgoSec
Experience with Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, or Cisco
Knowledge of ITSM and ticket management tools
Familiarity with ITIL processes
Previous experience in a corporate environment or on-site operations
Basic knowledge of SIEM, VPN, Proxy, or NAC
Basic networking or security certifications are a plus
Proactive and organized approach
Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Ability to work on demand and manage multiple requests
Commitment to quality and compliance with processes
Interest in professional development in information security
