About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and services using Node.js
Implement and optimize integrations with relational and NoSQL databases
Ensure code quality standards, automated testing, and development best practices
Work closely with frontend, mobile, and product teams to align technical requirements
Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and security
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level developers
Contribute to architecture, improvements, and refactoring efforts to keep the system maintainable

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of solid experience in Node.js development
Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
Experience with REST APIs and/or GraphQL
Advanced knowledge of databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
Strong command of version control with Git
Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, and Chai
Experience with microservices architecture and messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
Knowledge of security practices for backend applications
Experience with cloud environments: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Preferred: experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI
Preferred: familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
Preferred: experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
Proactive approach and ability to solve complex problems
Clear and collaborative communication
