About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain scalable, resilient RESTful APIs using TypeScript and Ruby on Rails
Participate in the entire development lifecycle: architecture, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and production monitoring
Contribute to the evolution of the core platform (monolith), microservices initiatives, and integrations with partners such as ERPs, payment gateways, and external platforms
Ensure technical quality through code reviews, Clean Code, SOLID principles, and team standards
Monitor and optimize performance using APM, resource tuning, and query analysis and optimization
Work in multidisciplinary squads using agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies, collaborating with engineering and product teams
Navigate different contexts and collaborate with TypeScript and mobile teams and workflows while maintaining a systems-level perspective
Work autonomously on a temporary 2- to 3-month project, with the possibility of continuation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience with Ruby on Rails
Strong experience with TypeScript
Advanced knowledge of REST APIs, including design, documentation, and consumption
Strong experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling
Experience with Git/GitHub
Strong familiarity with automated testing, including RSpec and unit, integration, and black-box testing approaches
Experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS
Ownership mindset: autonomy, proactivity, and a focus on delivering value with technical accountability
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of NoSQL databases and caches/queues, including Redis, DocumentDB, and DynamoDB
Experience with CI/CD, including GitHub Actions and Argo CD
Preferred: microservices architecture and messaging, particularly AWS SNS/SQS
Spanish is a plus but not required
