About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and execute the product testing strategy.
Participate in story refinement sessions with the Product Owner and development team.
Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, proactively identifying quality scenarios, risks, and gaps.
Prepare test plans, scenarios, cases, and evidence.
Execute functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Validate end-to-end journeys involving mobile applications, APIs, backend systems, and integrations.
Test native iOS and Android applications across different operating system versions and devices.
Validate features related to group creation, participant addition, expense entry, value splitting/allocation, balances, and other product journeys.
Validate business rules.
Test APIs and backend services.
Validate API contracts, payloads, response codes, exception handling, and business rules.
Create and maintain automated tests for critical product journeys.
Support the implementation of automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
Identify, document, track, and support defect analysis.
Work closely with developers to identify the root causes of issues.
Support performance, security, resilience, and availability testing.
Monitor quality metrics and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience as a Test Analyst, QA Engineer, or in an equivalent role.
Experience testing mobile applications.
Experience with API testing.
Knowledge of software testing strategies and techniques.
Experience with test automation.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Experience with defect management.
Knowledge of Git.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to analyze logs to identify issues.
Knowledge of databases and SQL queries for data validation.
Preferred: experience with high-scale financial products.
Preferred: experience with Super Apps.
Preferred: experience with Server-Driven UI.
Preferred: knowledge of AWS.
Preferred: experience with Kubernetes.
Preferred: knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent platforms.
Preferred: experience with performance testing using tools such as JMeter or K6.
Preferred: knowledge of DevSecOps practices and Quality Engineering.
