About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline
- Provision, manage, and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practices and AWS CDK and CloudFormation in TypeScript and Python
- Design, deploy, and support AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Route 53, IAM, Lambda, and related cloud-native services
- Package, deploy, and support containerized applications and platform services using Docker, ECS, and EKS
- Develop automation, tooling, and operational workflows using Python, PowerShell, Bash, TypeScript, JavaScript, and related technologies
- Implement and support monitoring, logging, alerting, tracing, and observability solutions using CloudWatch, OpenSearch, and related tooling
- Collaborate with development teams to improve developer experience, deployment processes, operational efficiency, and application reliability
- Build and maintain reusable platform capabilities, automation frameworks, and self-service solutions
- Support security, governance, and compliance requirements through IAM controls, secrets management, encryption, patching, and vulnerability remediation
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management
- Contribute to disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and resiliency planning
- Support platform modernization and identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence
- Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, architecture diagrams, and platform standards
- Participate in Agile delivery activities including planning, estimation, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related field
- Minimum three years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical role (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting AWS-based solutions
- Experience developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar frameworks
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Experience developing automation and operational tooling using TypeScript, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience using Git-based source control systems and modern software development practices
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting production environments and resolving complex operational issues
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Preferred: Experience building shared platform services, automation frameworks, or developer enablement solutions
- Preferred: Experience with AWS CDK, CloudFormation and TypeScript
- Preferred: Experience with GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms
- Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment in ECS and EKS
- Preferred: Experience supporting Linux and/or Windows server environments
- Preferred: Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions
- Preferred: Familiarity with incident management, root cause analysis, and operational excellence practices
- Preferred: Familiarity with disaster recovery, backup, resiliency, and business continuity planning
- Preferred: Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles and Agile delivery methodologies
