About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test and support full stack application features for the loan application workflow domain
  • Build and enhance responsive front-end solutions using HTML5, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and Angular
  • Develop and integrate back-end services, APIs and data solutions using Java, Spring Boot and SQL
  • Apply a holistic technical lens across applications, services, integrations and the broader codebase
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes and contribute practical, maintainable solutions
  • Collaborate in an Agile environment and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide informal leadership to support team delivery
  • Work with developers, analysts, architects, business partners and other stakeholders across FCC
  • Mentor through informal leadership within a geographically dispersed Agile team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, business or a related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in application development, software engineering or full stack development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive knowledge of full stack development practices, software development principles and coding best practices
  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and Angular
  • Proven expertise developing back-end services and integrations using Java, Spring Boot and SQL
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and recommend scalable, maintainable solutions
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and business partners
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • English required
  • Preferred: experience with loan origination, lending workflow or financial services technology solutions
  • Preferred: informal leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching or guiding technical decision-making
  • Preferred: broad solution-design perspective supporting growth toward architecture-level thinking
