About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test and deploy high-quality ServiceNow solutions
  • Build custom functionality, workflows, automation, integrations and platform enhancements
  • Write clean, maintainable code and configure ServiceNow using client- and server-side scripting, reusable components and appropriate out-of-the-box functionality
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and participate in application design sessions
  • Translate complex business needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions
  • Develop and support integrations using APIs and web services
  • Build and execute automation, integration and unit tests
  • Contribute to code reviews, troubleshooting, user testing, implementation support and continuous improvement of development standards
  • Help maintain a stable, scalable and governed ServiceNow platform supporting ITSM practices and enterprise workflows across Canada

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
  • Minimum six years of related software development experience, including hands-on ServiceNow development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong Java script experience, troubleshooting and testing practices
  • Solid knowledge of ServiceNow development and configuration, including ITSM processes, workflows, forms, business rules, client scripts, script includes, Flow Designer and Update sets
  • Experience producing working code on complex development tasks, including custom functionality, integrations and system enhancements
  • Demonstrated proficiency with automated testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, technical documentation and rigorous development standards
  • Broader enterprise development experience, particularly in Java-based application development, API development, system integration or cloud-enabled platforms
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is preferred
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is preferred
  • English required
