About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review, recommend, and implement changes to ensure revised HHS OMH materials incorporate human-centered design principles
  • Review HHS OMH materials and recommend improvements based on human-centered design principles
  • Apply human-centered design processes to materials produced for LEP communities
  • Determine and recommend design solutions and improvements
  • Evaluate correspondence designs according to LEP community requirements
  • Advise HHS OMH on human-centered design matters
  • Provide general advice on designs and templates and specific advice on revised HHS OMH materials
  • Contribute to and provide consultation on contract deliverables, including English literacy promotion materials, community outreach materials, meeting agendas, annual reports, and final reports
  • Juggle multiple deliverables and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Attend and contribute to project status update meetings at least biweekly

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in human-centered design, user experience design, computer science, or a related field of study
  • At least six years of experience providing human-centered design consultation
  • Must be eligible for an HHS Public Trust security clearance
  • Federal government, government contracting, or public health experience preferred but not required
  • Master’s degree in human-centered design, user experience design, computer science, or a similar field of study desired
