About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate a bulldozer safely and efficiently
  • Cut ditches, slopes, and grades; clear brush; shape and dress slopes; and perform other earthmoving activities
  • Start engines and operate throttles, switches, levers, and pedals
  • Signal truck drivers to position trucks for loading dirt, rocks, and other materials
  • Avoid hazards and obstructions including utility lines, equipment, workers, and falling objects
  • Perform equipment maintenance including oiling, greasing, and other machine service
  • Troubleshoot and adjust equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Report to the Foreman

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications
  • Ability to move throughout a construction jobsite, including climbing ladders and inclines
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of and adherence to company safety policies and procedures
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • Three or more years of related construction experience preferred
  • Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items and work with the fingers
  • Ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States of America
  • Selected candidates must pass a drug screen
  • Selected field-position candidates must pass a medical exam
  • Some positions may require completion of a background check
