About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the on-site authority for all quality matters
- Act as liaison between the EPC Quality program, construction team, subcontractors, and client
- Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management System aligned with Ferrovial Webber Energy’s Integrated Management System and ISO 9001
- Define and implement inspection and testing plans for procurement, construction, and commissioning
- Coordinate and oversee field quality inspectors for civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical installations
- Oversee material testing and equipment certifications
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes such as NEC and IEEE
- Manage quality documentation, including inspection reports, certificates, NCRs, punch lists, and corrective action records
- Oversee the Turnover Document Process and compile Quality Turnover Packages for handover and commissioning
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes using methodologies such as A3 and 8D
- Evaluate and approve suppliers and contractors based on quality criteria
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure materials and equipment meet project standards
- Supervise site quality inspectors and third-party testing labs
- Provide on-site training to construction teams on quality procedures and standards
- Conduct internal quality audits and support third-party/client audits
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to management and stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field
- 5-10 years experience is preferred in quality management, with at least 3 years in utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Experience managing teams and third-party inspections on active construction sites is preferred
- Proven track record of implementing and managing QA/QC processes on large-scale projects
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes, including NEC, ASME, ISO, or ASTM
- Proficiency in QA/QC tools and software, including Procore, SAP, or similar
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Advanced training or certifications in quality management, such as CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma, preferred
- CQE, CQA, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or Six Sigma certification preferred
