About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Fertifa’s virtual clinic
  • Ensure clinical excellence, patient safety and operational efficiency across all pathways
  • Lead and manage the clinical services team
  • Build and scale a robust clinical system
  • Define clinical boundaries, guard rails and scopes of practice
  • Ensure compliance with professional and national regulatory standards
  • Provide guidance on complex cases and support clinical decision-making
  • Track performance and identify service-development opportunities using data
  • Conduct regular 1-to-1s, appraisals and performance reviews
  • Optimise internal tools including the Fertifa App and Semble
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding and induction of clinical team members
  • Build strategic relationships with UK partners and diagnostic providers
  • Create and deliver educational materials for employers and employees
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product and Marketing to provide clinical insights and internal education
  • Ensure clinical documentation is accurate, prompt and GDPR-compliant
  • Monitor the regulatory environment and lead certification processes such as ISO
  • Launch and manage new clinical pathways with the Medical Director
  • Report to the Executive Director and work closely with the Medical Director and patient advisors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Registered healthcare professional with a broad understanding of multiple clinical pathways
  • Strong experience managing day-to-day clinical operations, including workforce resource planning, scheduling and workflow optimisation
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, conduct performance reviews and handle challenging professional conversations
  • Ability to mentor a team through high-pressure situations while maintaining a calm and professional approach
  • Deep understanding of Scope of Practice and risk management within a digital health environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including translating complex medical terminology to non-clinical stakeholders
  • Comfortable using data to measure team performance and patient outcomes
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and flexible in a fast-paced, scaling environment
  • Willingness to support patients across diverse clinical pathways; training provided as needed
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar leadership role
  • Experience in a clinical lead, clinic manager or head of service role
  • Broad understanding of clinical pathways including women’s/men’s reproductive health, fertility, menopause and neurodiversity
  • Understanding of ISO and CQC standards, UK healthcare legislation and international standards
  • Organisational and time-management skills for managing team members, rotas, appointments, webinars and consultations
  • Experience delivering health education and patient consultations
  • Strong IT skills, specifically patient management software (Semble or equivalent), Microsoft Office and digital/software tools
  • Valid NMC or similarly appropriate registration (nice to have)
