About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the path from concept to a financeable, executable agreement for advanced energy delivery arrangements
  • Maintain decision logs, risk registers, and critical-path tracking while aligning commercial terms with technical requirements
  • Structure and negotiate commercial terms for flexible and on-site power arrangements
  • Partner with Legal and Origination on contract frameworks, term sheets, and deal comparisons
  • Coordinate with Transmission & Interconnection on technical feasibility, interconnection pathways, and utility requirements
  • Align geothermal resource plans with microgrid design and on-site load requirements
  • Translate resource characteristics, generation profiles, and technical constraints into commercial and financing assumptions
  • Integrate the geothermal resource, microgrid, and on-site power needs into one coherent system
  • Translate technical and commercial inputs into a lender-ready narrative with Finance and Capital Markets
  • Track risks, dependencies, and open issues affecting financeability or executability and drive them to resolution
  • Prepare deal-status, tradeoff, and recommendation materials for senior leadership
  • Serve as a key customer and partner contact for energy solutions
  • Build relationships with utilities, independent power producers, equipment providers, and other market participants
  • Track market, regulatory, and technology trends and translate them into development-strategy implications
  • Build playbooks, templates, and internal tools to scale energy-solutions opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in power project development, structured/project finance, or commercial roles within power generation or energy infrastructure
  • Experience structuring or negotiating commercial agreements for power delivery, such as PPAs, interconnection agreements, and EPC/O&M agreements
  • Working knowledge of behind-the-meter and on-site generation, interconnection processes, and flexible generation economics
  • Ability to read and pressure-test financial models and technical studies
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations for senior leadership
  • Highly organized self-starter comfortable managing multiple workstreams and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
