Key responsibilities & impact
  • Strengthen the security and resilience of Fervo's operational technology environments
  • Translate OT security program objectives into durable technical controls, operating processes, and defensible evidence
  • Evaluate OT architectures and data flows
  • Support secure commissioning and change management
  • Improve asset and configuration visibility
  • Govern remote and vendor access
  • Develop monitoring and incident-response capabilities
  • Maintain risk and remediation records
  • Support NERC CIP governance where applicable without independently determining regulatory applicability or certifying compliance
  • Partner with Operations, OT and controls engineering, project delivery, IT, enterprise cybersecurity, compliance, legal, and third parties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on cybersecurity professional experience in operational technology environments
  • Knowledge/application of NIST SP 800-82 Rev. 3 concepts
  • Knowledge/application of IEC 62443 concepts
  • Support for NERC CIP governance where applicable
  • Ability to evaluate OT architectures and data flows
  • Ability to support secure commissioning and change management
  • Experience improving asset and configuration visibility
  • Experience governing remote and vendor access
  • Ability to develop monitoring and incident-response capabilities
  • Ability to maintain risk and remediation records
  • Ability to collaborate with Operations, OT and controls engineering, project delivery, IT, enterprise cybersecurity, compliance, legal, and third parties
