About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure the consistent and appropriate interpretation and administration of all aspects of the grants administration program
  • Administer eligibility, applications, and the accurate and efficient distribution of individual and group funding
  • Support the efficient operation and day-to-day administration of the grants program and foundation
  • Support the Programs Team during the national call for applications
  • Receive, evaluate, and prepare funding applications for decision-making
  • Interpret and administer eligibility and compliance requirements
  • Support the preparation of key program deliverables
  • Reconcile data to facilitate accurate and accessible information
  • Ensure calls for applications and contract administration comply with the court-approved administration plan, terms and conditions, procedures, and established processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with projects and programs
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with SurveyMonkey and database management is an asset
  • Experience working with First Nations communities is strongly preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French
  • Strong client relations experience
  • Ability to work independently and meet deliverables
  • Experience working in the not-for-profit sector is an asset
  • Persons of Indigenous ancestry will be given preference under section 16(1) of the Canadian Human Rights Act (CHRA)
