About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Fibreworks Composites in developing a more structured and standardized quality environment
  • Ensure manufactured parts meet customer and engineering fit, form, and function criteria
  • Own all functions of the Quality Assurance System
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Manual
  • Create work instructions, procedures, process maps, and forms to support ISO 9001 and ASQ 9001 compliance
  • Collaborate with engineering to define quality assurance standards
  • Perform calibrations and develop calibration schedules
  • Manage non-conformances and corrective actions
  • Conduct internal and external audits
  • Drive continual department improvement
  • Maintain compliance with internal ERP/MRP processes
  • Inspect parts using PCMM and metrology equipment, maintaining detailed records
  • Educate production and engineering teams on quality control issues
  • Communicate quality findings and issues to customers, vendors, and staff
  • Train, develop, and mentor the quality control team
  • Create and execute professional development and continuous improvement plans
  • Supervise Quality Department support staff
  • Follow health, safety, and workplace policies
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance or Engineering required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Composite industry experience
  • AS9100 Auditing Qualification desirable
  • AS9100 ISO Certification
  • Thorough knowledge of composite materials related manufacturing equipment and processes a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organized and able to multitask
  • Attention to detail and good documentation practices
  • Self-starter, results-oriented, able to organize and analyze data
  • Proficient with MS Office products and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work on-site during scheduled business hours; occasional weekends, overtime, and holidays as scheduled
