About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities
  • Assist with preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Accounting Information Systems, or related field
  • Strong interest in corporate accounting and financial reporting
  • Interest in financial system implementations, digital transformation efforts, and accounting modernization
  • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate complex information, challenge existing processes, and develop practical recommendations
  • Curiosity and willingness to explore new technologies, tools and ways of working
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through coursework, organizations, athletics, or work experience
  • Experience with Intermediate Accounting courses
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute within a collaborative team environment
  • Current college student (undergraduate or graduate) who will return to coursework following the summer internship
  • Availability for the entire 10-week program
  • Ability to align with Fidelity's hybrid working mode
