About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in stakeholder discussions, capture requirements, and help clarify ambiguities with guidance from senior analysts and team members
  • Work on real projects across the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, testing, and implementation
  • Create and maintain user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and process/data flow diagrams using standard tools and templates
  • Develop understanding of business context, system workflows, data flows, and upstream/downstream dependencies
  • Run queries, validate test data, and investigate simple data or system issues
  • Identify gaps between current systems and future business needs
  • Create test cases, execute tests, analyze results, and log defects
  • Explore emerging tools and technologies, including AI, and apply them responsibly to improve analysis and delivery outcomes
  • Contribute to solutions that help customers achieve long-term financial goals
  • Participate in Fidelity’s 10-week immersive Leap Program and in-person cohort experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have earned or be on track to earn a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field by January 11, 2027
  • Familiarity with requirements gathering, documentation, or systems analysis concepts through academic or internship experience
  • Foundational awareness of data concepts, including data flows, data validation, or querying
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to break down problems and ask thoughtful, clarifying questions
  • Familiarity with diagramming tools such as Visio or Drawio
  • Hands-on project or internship experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous learning
  • Must not require immigration sponsorship for this position
