Key responsibilities & impact

Develop software rapidly within Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT)
Create innovative products and services that improve people’s financial lives
Move ideas from concepts to scale and help bring new products to market
Design and build complex end-to-end, full-stack systems
Work on a next-generation trading platform supporting equities, options, and cryptocurrencies
Use emerging technologies to create seamless and intuitive trading experiences across multiple asset classes
Collaborate and co-develop with a multidisciplinary team
Provide expertise on new tools and techniques to the broader Fidelity organization
Help incubate potential new lines of business

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor level degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another technical field
Experience working with a variety of programming languages, frameworks, operating systems, and platforms
Experience with Golang, Node.JS or Java
Experience with Agile Methodologies
Able to take a concept and turn it into a finished product
Ability to quickly learn and adopt diverse technologies
Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and communication skills
Knowledge in securities trading, including Equities, Options and Crypto currencies
Strong software programming skills
Proven track record designing and building complex end-to-end systems as a full stack developer
Willingness to continually understand and pick up something new
Ability to co-develop in a multi-disciplined team
Experience with relational databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL
Experience with non-relational databases, including MongoDB
Strong object-oriented skills and experience with UML
Knowledge of cloud computing environments, applications, and tools
Experience and knowledge of Agile/iterative software delivery methodologies
Ability to clearly convey information to technical and non-technical audiences
Motivated, self-directed, and results oriented
