About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a financial planning and estate planning subject matter expert for Fidelity’s high-net-worth clients and their advisors
  • Lead end-to-end financial and estate planning engagements
  • Use eMoney and other planning tools to deliver comprehensive client solutions
  • Support advanced planning client engagements throughout a geographic region with an Advanced Planning Analyst
  • Meet clients and advisors in investor centers across the region
  • Collaborate with the Advanced Planning team virtually and in person
  • Travel typically 5%–20% of the time
  • Collaborate with Fidelity’s advisors and high-net-worth clients to provide comprehensive financial planning tailored to individual goals and family dynamics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 13–15 years overall work experience
  • 7+ years of trusts and estate planning, income tax planning, or succession planning experience within public accounting, law practice, or wealth management
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 obtained within 90 days of employment
  • Retirement, financial, investment, and insurance planning experience
  • Knowledge of estate planning, family wealth transfer planning, wills/trusts, income taxation, and trust and estate taxation
  • Ability to create and review financial plans using tools such as eMoney
  • Experience working with business owners and start-ups/Pre IPO companies is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and lead an assigned territory to drive high-net-worth client engagement
  • Ability to coach and develop junior team members
  • Ability to communicate complex subjects clearly and effectively
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to build rapport with clients and advisors
  • Client-first mindset and practical approach to delivering planning solutions
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks efficiently
  • Positive, professional demeanor
  • Must reside within commuting distance to an Investor Center or Regional Center in New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania
  • Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position
