About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support day-to-day maintenance, operational efficiencies, and training for aggregate processing plants
  • Provide maintenance support for equipment breakdowns
  • Plan routine maintenance and develop preventative and scheduled maintenance programs
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues
  • Improve equipment reliability and implement corrective actions after analyzing failures
  • Ensure a safe and ethical work environment and enforce safe work behaviors
  • Work with safety managers, aggregate supervisors, field personnel, and subcontractors to ensure OSHA/MSHA compliance
  • Perform equipment assessments and maintain accurate asset condition records
  • Coordinate maintenance events from work order creation through closeout
  • Support plant breakdowns during production season
  • Manage maintenance crews during production and scheduled outages
  • Train personnel on proper maintenance and operation of aggregate equipment
  • Assist with capital planning, budgets, ROI evaluations, and spare parts management
  • Support operations training, scheduling, planning, and work order processes
  • Support plant optimization, screen media selection, and material processing improvements
  • Assist with implementation of new technologies and manufacturing initiatives
  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance personnel
  • Standardize maintenance practices across aggregate operations
  • Monitor KPIs including downtime, PM compliance, and equipment availability
  • Promote continuous improvement and Equipment360 utilization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in aggregate, mining, asphalt, or heavy manufacturing
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of crushers, screens, conveyors, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, welding, and fabrication
  • Basic understanding of motors, VFDs, and electrical controls
  • Knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CMMS software, preferably HCSS Equipment360
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and elevated structures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work around moving machinery, dust, vibration, and noise
  • Ability to work extended hours during breakdowns or emergency repairs as needed
