About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate heavy construction equipment as part of quarry operations to produce aggregate and construction materials
- Maintain and operate the processing plant, including crushers, screens and wash-plants
- Operate loaders to feed the processing plant
- Assist with stockpile and load-out of finished product
- Operate loaders, skid steers, water trucks, man lifts, dozers and excavators safely and efficiently
- Perform daily inspections of the plant site
- Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
- Maintain a clean and orderly work site
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to operate equipment in a safe and productive manner
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and inspections of mobile equipment
- Ability to communicate plant site issues with the Foreman and Mine Management
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work site, including shoveling and skid steer operation
- Ability to assist in plant maintenance and repairs, including labor work, cutting, fabricating and welding
- Ability to follow proper safety procedures, including incident reporting
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned
