About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create, review and compile PowerPoint presentations and legal documentation
  • Enter and regularly update information in the Wetrack tool and other internal systems
  • Provide translation and proofreading of legal documents
  • Provide legal advice to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ team in Brazil on civil, contractual, labor, and regulatory matters
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, partners, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies
  • Identify and support the mitigation of legal risks
  • Support internal and external audits by organizing and compiling requested documentation
  • Prepare legal opinions and management reports
  • Participate in strategic projects by providing legal support
  • Assist in monitoring relevant legislative and regulatory developments
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Support process efficiency and policy improvement
  • Ensure assigned responsibilities are delivered to a high standard of quality and timeliness in compliance with FIFA and FWWC 2027 policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Laws
  • Qualified to practice law in Brazil
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Fluency in Portuguese (spoken and written)
  • Experience as a qualified lawyer in a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams)
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented and pragmatic mindset
  • Team player with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • Empathetic, collaborative and patient, with a positive attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively in multi-stakeholder environments
  • Right to work in Brazil
  • Ability to relocate to Rio de Janeiro
