About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead data analysis and modelling supporting implementation, review, and updating of the Fife Children’s Services Plan
- Develop a comprehensive Joint Strategic Needs Assessment for children in Fife every three years
- Provide data and information for improvement activity across the partnership
- Support ongoing self-evaluation and quality assurance of core partnership-working approaches
- Design and develop performance reporting to support proportionate improvement
- Advise senior leaders and partnership working groups on appropriate use of data
- Develop performance management and quality assurance frameworks for children’s services
- Work under the line management of the Partnership Coordinator for Children in Fife
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant professional experience in a statistical or similar analytical role in a large organisation
- Outstanding numerical skills
- In-depth knowledge of statistical and analytical approaches
- Relevant degree, e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analysis, or another related professional qualification, or equivalent relevant experience
- Ability to analyse problems and determine solutions using appropriate techniques to gather and analyse data
- Ability to produce information in graphical format
- Advanced user of Microsoft packages supporting data analysis and visualisation, e.g. Excel and Power BI
- Practical understanding of personal data security, data protection, and database design management
- Ability to simplify complex issues for target audiences
- Strong customer skills and ability to meet the needs of a range of stakeholders
- Ability to manage and lead small projects
- Ability to work under pressure, cope with uncertainty, adapt to changing demands, and manage time appropriately
- Supporting Statement required; applications without one will not be progressed
