About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build the sales playbook as the first representative in the territory
  • Own a defined geographic territory and create daily route plans
  • Spend at least four days per week in the field visiting law firms and building relationships
  • Develop relationships with paralegals, legal assistants, firm administrators, and managing partners
  • Sell Filevine's court reporting, remote deposition, and AI-powered deposition products, including Depo CoPilot
  • Drive initial customer enablement, training, and product adoption
  • Attend bar association meetings, CLEs, paralegal association mixers, and trial lawyer chapter events
  • Conduct outbound calls, drop-bys, follow-ups, and account prospecting
  • Maintain CRM records in Salesforce and forecast targets and deals
  • Partner with Operations, Scheduling, and Client Success to deliver a seamless deposition experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5+ years of outside sales experience, ideally B2B and in a field/territory model
  • Proven track record of building a book of business from in-person relationships, not inbound leads
  • Ability to build rapport with paralegals and legal staff and hold strategic conversations with managing partners
  • Ability to learn a new industry quickly and translate insights to litigators
  • Comfort selling a premium product against cheaper alternatives
  • Ability to build a pipeline, run an independent territory, and manage daily activity
  • Comfort with cold visits to law firms, navigating gatekeepers, and earning first conversations
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Live in or near the assigned territory
  • Prior experience selling into law firms or to attorneys is nice to have
  • Existing local legal-community network is nice to have
  • Familiarity with deposition workflows, litigation timelines, and legal-services purchasing is nice to have
